Buried Devotion
Watching distant hearts rival in fire
Wanting a life of affinity
Hoping the renewal of flesh brings peace
Wrapping a perfect eternity
As memories swim through the river of time
Bringing old afflictions
The unborn trapped by hidden thoughts
And shattered delusions
Is this true love or aversions gift
The transient devotion
Becoming like the knife in his mouth
That's dull with erosion
As my ocean soul silently weeps
It's resolve I desire
Wishing upon the eyes hanging in the night
While you lay in your pyre
I felt winter wash over your skin
As your crimson sea froze
The death inside you became salvation
And you became as a dying rose
Beautiful among the ebbing roots
Bringing apathy of love
Voiding your soul of all feeling
Like the rain from clouds above
The strain of death and desolate life
This deluge was to much for you
As the disappeared painted your walls
With a portrait of decay tearing through
A mind echoing with words of dear love
The seemingly pseudo vows
Spoken on a day of endearment
But we didn't see they were true
Wrapped in a lustful treatment
I soon too was taken by the reaper
Wished away in the dead of winter
Inheriting your strain with enmity
Feeling his fists like a burning cinder
Only to wake in our perfect eternity
With the nameless child
As the hands of time are broken
I'm free in a blissful mild
Only now we see his hidden sacrifice
To bring us to a faultless forever
His love disguised as dismal hatred
It found his pure heart to sever
As he destroyed to create divine abode
He turned regret to buried promise
Trapped by the stigma of abuse
He died for love to compose bliss
Wanting a life of affinity
Hoping the renewal of flesh brings peace
Wrapping a perfect eternity
As memories swim through the river of time
Bringing old afflictions
The unborn trapped by hidden thoughts
And shattered delusions
Is this true love or aversions gift
The transient devotion
