Ocean of Abandon
Pulled under my ocean of abandon
To coalesce with the demons within
As they become like a sleeping cancer
Embedded in my thousand sins
Coming up in my winter eyes
Where pain's easily a hidden thorn
Watching the world rot in oblivion
Leaving minds pierced and torn
Never wanting a life of desertion
Wrapped in a blanket of scars
Born of regret and broken dreams
Filled with darkened stars
Painting the sky with a dying utopia
As the alluring kingdom below dies
My brush cuts through the veil
Revealing a soul behind stitched eyes
I just wish I was more than a mask
Wearing nothing but illusions
Stitched onto my grieving heart
As my mind births delusions
Hiding my ocean of abandon
Swirling around my riven mind
As the ebbing waves suffocate
I need love but it's hard to find
To coalesce with the demons within
As they become like a sleeping cancer
Embedded in my thousand sins
Coming up in my winter eyes
Where pain's easily a hidden thorn
Watching the world rot in oblivion
Leaving minds pierced and torn
Never wanting a life of desertion
Wrapped in a blanket of scars
Born of regret and broken dreams
Filled with darkened stars
Painting the sky with a dying utopia
As the alluring kingdom below dies
My brush cuts through the veil
Revealing a soul behind stitched eyes
I just wish I was more than a mask
Wearing nothing but illusions
Stitched onto my grieving heart
As my mind births delusions
Hiding my ocean of abandon
Swirling around my riven mind
As the ebbing waves suffocate
I need love but it's hard to find
