luminous  lopsided moon
plays it s mystical tune
deep within me here
this late  early summer night
as nocturnal  warm rains fell
it cast it s mysterious
ancient  primal spell
to take me by surprise tonight

luminous  lopsided moon
set yellow and full
still playing it s mystical tune
deep within me here all night
until new morning s sun
quietly began to radiantly rise
slowly ascending
up over this vast gulf s
sparkling  eastern horizon
up into this new day s
joyous  blue sky life
on up beyond
into the even greater
wondrous mystery of it all
leaving me further wondering
and reflectively pondering
if and what it too like me
might also possibly be
wondering and pondering
in it s own unknown
mystical  silent
ineffable cosmic way
as well
