Teeth

When I'm not in pain
I'm high as hell
On oxycodone,
Itching my arms and legs.

Face swollen and bruised.
I'm living on mashed potatoes
And scrambled eggs.
Falling asleep sitting up more often than not.

Playing video games,
Watching cartoons.
Drinking grape soda.
Staying in bed all day.

Simple pleasures often come with pain.
