A night in which to die

Under an ochre rich,
Vermilion sky I recall
Her milk honey drizzle hair
Her ice locked pullucid eyes
We are underneath
That moon shine beaming
Like yesterdays Sun
That eye in the sky that's so widely shut
We are underneath
Kissing with taped up smiles
Saddling up a kiss, to a trot of my nervous fingers
Her hot tears hitting me like velveteen
A promise, it was an oath
That I wouldn't bring us any more harm,
No more cooking up
No more sticking needles in my arms
And plainly it could be seen,
That moon beaming like yesterday's Sun

It was in a night that I wished to die
Heroin, my mistress pushed me over the edge, there I stayed, still as a warm corpse
Opium drunk bars pulled down over my eyes
An abduction that left my skin on earth

A night in which to die
Was the night I came back alive
