- - - TASTE THE SUFFERING - - -
This weight upon my shoulders
Billions of souls crying out
As my heart grows still colder
Subtle sands of grief and doubt
Oh, I taste suffering
I forget to remember
To just have faith in something
All I see are red embers
Swirling in smoke and nothing
Oh, I taste suffering
And I know this pride had left me
Filled with rage but my heart still beats
Heavy with burden of frailty
I fell so hard with tragedy
The storms, they crash upon my shore
Thunderous and poisoned thorns
Ink the flesh with misery
I am the voice of temptation
No salvation, only damnation
Forever in my agony
Oh, I taste suffering
I bask in the scarlet light
A chrysalis wormwood shell
The lord of lasting twilight
When paradise becomes Hell
Oh, I taste suffering
I stand, behold the precipice
Empty are nights but still I reach
Desperate burden of frailty
I fell so hard with tragedy
Angels, they crash upon my shore
Venomous and poisoned, torn
Ink the flesh with agony
I'm the reason of temptation
No salvation, only damnation
Forever in my misery
Oh, I taste suffering
