If I could impale you
On this image of such a fragile idea
That protrudes from my mind
Like an ever growing
Spire of ice
On the surface of a moon
Orbiting a planet we forgot
I would pull you down
To it's base
I would hazard you to describe it's core
Knowing that you could not
I would smile at you're stuttered arrangement of words
Your reckless explanation
I would question myself
I would beg forgiveness
I would thank you
I would ask for direction
From any God or mortal that would listen
These days
I hold you both in the same regard
These days
My closest friends
Are my Gods
And I hope
My enemies are mortal
I long to walk beside them
I long to understand them
To one day love them
Through all the adrenaline
The curses
The blood, scars and bruises
Hate has eluded me
My soul has never tasted it
I hope with every ounce of my being
That it was always just an idea
A careless expression of pain
Beyond control
