Delicate
I had to be delicate.
Wear lace,
Wear pink,
tie my hair into an elegant updo,
or leave it down a certain way.
I had to wear dresses.
I had to be delicate for you.
I had to squeeze my curved corners
Into your sharp edged boxes.
I wasn't going to change my shape
My identity
Myself,
For you,
Until
I did.
