Fox & Bear ~ Sadness

Bear my friend, how do you do?
Oh Fox said Bear, I'm feeling blue
Life is tough and there's lots to do
But I wouldn't want to trouble you

Now now Bear, I shan't let this slide!
You may of course in me confide
What troubles you, what's going on?
One thing's for sure, we must stay strong

Fox my friend, 'tis hard to explain
How emptiness fills me with pain
Normality changes, nothing's the same
When the darkness comes a'calling my name

My brother Bear, do not dispair!
Those dark places, I've been there
I know the darkness and the pain
The tune he whistles when he calls your name

What you need is a friend to keep
The normal eight hours of sleep
You need to smile and go outside
But firstly, keep your eyes open wide

Happiness in the little things is good
A little fact so misunderstood
While heavy thoughts weigh away
See what makes you smile today

Bear stood, then Bear smiled
He said, today I am a child!
He ran through the woods and lay in the sun
Fox laughed and ran to join the fun
