"Twinkle"

Twinkle, twinkle little star,
I sort of wonder where they are,
as I ponder on the past,
staring at this hour glass,  

time goes by way to fast,
we should have known it wouldn't last,
twinkle, twinkle little star,
as I sit here from afar,

thinking on the way things are,
while my friends are at the bar,
hoping for a brand new start,
with a girl I want to love,

sent to me from above,
asking God for this girl,
one I know will rock my world,
as I think on the past,

remembering that it didn't last,
that's because we went so fast,
I'm pretty sure you were a test,
just to see if I would pass,

now I know you weren’t for me,
I'll find someone you wait and see,
God has a plan for my life,
he'll send someone to be my wife,

and when he does you'll be the one,
sitting there on the phone,
asking me to come back home,
I'll just say you had your chance,

while I move on with romance,
to let you know this in advance.
