You Don’t Often Hear That

She said “no darling, let me pay for this”
‘I heard that’
She said “no sweetie let me get that for you”
‘I heard that’
She said “it’s ok, I’ll let you choose”
‘I heard that’
She said “when do you want me to make dinner”
‘I heard that’
She said “let me polish your shoes for you”
‘I heard that’
She said “would you like to have a oiled massage”
‘I heard that’
She said “Please let me run you a warm soothing bath”
‘I heard that’
She said “I’ve just realised how handsome you are”
‘I heard that’
She said “you really are one in a million”
‘I heard that’

She said “I love you”
Now you don’t often hear that
