"A sign of things to come" Prt.1
So.. what are you going to do?
'Oh, I don't know.' Maria sighed.
How often I dreamt of her bearing her body and holding it against me..
How I looked at her soft lips brushing up against mine.
The heavy breathing, the warmth of her skin.
'Dan, Dan are you even listening?!'
Huh? W-what?
She shook her head in disbelief.
'Why is it that everytime I open up to you, your mind seems to wonder anywhere but here?'
If she only knew how it really was.
How bad I wanted her to recognize me as a love interest instead of some kind of wall she could lean on whenever something went south..
I'm really sorry Maria. I- I just..
She cut me off right in the middle of my sentence.
'No, no more excuses. I'm getting sick of always hearing these excuses.'
'I think it's best I take my leave..'
As she stuffed a number of inconceivable things in her backpack I noticed a pen fell out.
I leaned in to pick it up off the ground.
It was the same pen I gave her after graduation.. a shiny gold and silver pen with 'truth is the daughter of time' engraved upon it's side.
Right there and then I decided, if I didn't take this opportunity by the balls...
I never could get a second.
MARIA!
She turned her head and right as she looked at my direction I kissed her passionately.
