A poem about the youth
Should be full of truth,
Should definitely be a scoop,
So let us come as agroup,
So that we may not stoop,
So that we may not think in a loop.

Listen or you'll end up broke,
I do not want you to grope,
I wish to remain in scope,
So that you may not end up doing dope,
Or hanging by a rope,

Be proactive,
Not destructive,
Don't focus on the attractive,
It's almost radioactive,
Be interactive,
Make your dreams retroactive.

You need to make a decision,
With your future in vision,
Stick to a religion,
Try a new region,
Join a legion,

Seek first to understand then to be understood,
So you don't remain in the hood,
Be withstood,
Not glued,
Not misused,
Don't say I wish I could,
Don't be rude,
Soon you'll enter adulthood,

Imagine you are dead,
No longer hanging by a thread,
No longer misread,
No need to be fed,
What do you have to say for yourself?
Can you honestly say you believed in yourself?
Or did you doubt all including yourself?
Were you self-driven?
Or did your friends have the car keys?
Were you more than just a dreamer?
Or just a mere deceiver?
What mark will you leave?
Or did your footprints disappear in the sand?
