Open Your Eyes
Why is it
That every morning,
I open my eyes to a world of hate?
A world that,
Surely,
We do not want to live in.
In every corner,
There's someone in search of a home.
In every shadow,
There is some kind of malevolence
Just waiting for the right time to show itself.
I wake up to a world
Where in every inch,
There has to be some kind of trash.
And everyday,
I find poor, starving strays,
Left on the street.
Is the entire world blind
To the problems
We ourself cause?
If our society
Was suddenly corrupted,
Would you open your eyes then?
Just for once,
Can't we just open our eyes?
That every morning,
I open my eyes to a world of hate?
A world that,
Surely,
We do not want to live in.
In every corner,
There's someone in search of a home.
In every shadow,
There is some kind of malevolence
Just waiting for the right time to show itself.
I wake up to a world
Where in every inch,
There has to be some kind of trash.
And everyday,
I find poor, starving strays,
Left on the street.
Is the entire world blind
To the problems
We ourself cause?
If our society
Was suddenly corrupted,
Would you open your eyes then?
Just for once,
Can't we just open our eyes?
