The Man of shadows
If only I would've knew
That night from a different view
He came out from the shadows behind
Unsuspecting, leaving me blind
He wrapped his arms around my neck
Forcing my breathing into check
My head slammed to the ground
Left to bleed pound by pound
Violent blows to every inch of skin
I had no fight left he had the win
If only I would've knew
But time to process was overdue
I managed to weep
Before he could send me asleep
Pleading for mercy, my only escape
Pouring my soul out, demananding his shape
But I was not able to see
The man of shadows torturing me
If only I would've knew
The shadow who killed me was you
That night from a different view
He came out from the shadows behind
Unsuspecting, leaving me blind
He wrapped his arms around my neck
Forcing my breathing into check
My head slammed to the ground
Left to bleed pound by pound
Violent blows to every inch of skin
I had no fight left he had the win
If only I would've knew
But time to process was overdue
I managed to weep
Before he could send me asleep
Pleading for mercy, my only escape
Pouring my soul out, demananding his shape
But I was not able to see
The man of shadows torturing me
If only I would've knew
The shadow who killed me was you
