Burn The Future

Discard The Past, Light up The Present, Burn The Future.

Don't Rush it.

No hurries, No worries.

Take it easy, not slow and jumbled,

but calm as still water.

Together, we run deep.

Into caverns, veins of the earth.

Deep within these caves,

with phosphorescent stalagtites

holding on for dear life,

and dripping down a bit further

with the water, growing a drip more.

And we dive deep,

through underground lakes,

enter new caverns, through new portals,

into worlds not imagined or dreamed

by mortal humanity.

We light up each chamber with flares,

and wonders befall our eyes,

so I wonder, am I dreaming,

or delirious from the pressure?

Because I see kalidoscopic visions

through each and every portal that I enter,

I leave another world behind,

And from a small point of light,

a whole circle of screensaver colors

whirl and swirl pulling in transcendent colors

from dimensions out of time and space,

colors spill in from other realms of existence,

and as they swirl into a circle of

whirling indescribable lava lamp colors,

I know I am changed.

We surface together, one cavern at a time,

Returning in time

to the world we left behind,

on the surface,

we see a world scorched and burned,

since the human catastrophe

and the divine hailfire ashstorm

had collided, and combined their forces,

taking out the surface,

And pushing us refugees and survivors

underground, deep underground

to survive, until we could surface again.

Now here we are.

The ash has settled,

Now the earth is fertile,

It is now our time to rebuild.

Let's not lose our chance.

Been through much together.

And here we stand and we demand

A brand new way.

It's here today
