Mo Chara.....Such dark, vivid imagery !!
(your ink has inscribed sooo many scenes within my mind.... inspired my imagination to wander into the realm of the insidious---wishing i had read it during daylight hours.....longing for the lights to reach the furthest calliginous corners of this room....glancing over my shoulder.....)
This one crawls deep inside .....a haunting haiku....but, so well scribed!!

ah.... I've missed these little bits of magic you bring with haiku.

I really enjoyed the way you were able inject action into a scene that would seem more akin to still life than a dynamic struggle. Great 'ku.

both kinds, we have a few varieties. Some are for sandwiches and salads and some to stew and can. All heirloom but I forget the names. In the USA I loved growing Striped Germans best for sandwiches , such flavor. We have peas and peppers and melons and garlic and potatoes..etc..we been in the dirt a lot lol
the tomatoes had to be moved to a sunnier spot the other day as they were doing what your poem describes ;0

great haiku Lobo with all sorts of possible multiple meanings but most importantly, the word placement is just right as to give it that perfect flow...enjoyed:)..

Masterful haiku. I've been leaning back in to my love of haiku, senryu, and cinquain lately. Thank you for the pretty morsel.

Could bearly breathe,
and swallowing became
un'bearable:
[fighting for sunlight
gnarled limbs contorted
suffocating grip ]
Such a magnifying thing.
