Whispers in the Night
If you ever find out I'm here
I'll lead you to your sorrow.
Please run away, I'll make it clear.
Be safe until tomorrow.
Spirits that whisper in the night,
Their deceiving hands reach out.
Using words that sound just right
So to soothe all of your doubt.
They say they'll take away your pain
And leave you with a smile.
Don't succumb to the love they feign,
You'll stumble from their guile.
I roam amongst the lying dead,
This is the price that was paid.
All because I did what they said,
It's the worst mistake I've made.
My dying hope was put to sleep
Along with my dreams and fears.
There, within the forest deep
With which my spirit appears.
