Perhaps I loved her too hard
Maybe I loved her too fast
A typhoon of emotions
Crashing against weathered walls
The winds be cruel in the storm
And her one lonesome light
As she flutters to the flame
Burning within its embrace
She's dancing among the slain
As the bodies fall like rain
A sacrifice for her again
For tomorrow's oblivion
Now there's nothing left of me
A heart that's given willingly
Upon altars of yesterday
Premonition of the grave
Ashes remain
Did northern winds blow too hard
When the chill came too fast?
A storm front of misery
Beating against weathered doors
Drowned in her midnight sorrow
When stars remain from reach
I taste her lingering kiss
Within our apocalypse
She's dancing among the slain
As the bodies fall like rain
A sacrifice for her again
For tomorrow's oblivion
Tombstones silhouette the mourning sky
Imbued with the memories that die
When true love fails to blossom
Like two roses poisoned in time
She's dancing among the slain
As the bodies fall like rain
A sacrifice for her again
For tomorrow's oblivion
Now there's nothing left of me
A heart that's given willingly
Upon altars of yesterday
Premonition of the grave
Ashes remain
