Shades of Grey
Our Love in shades of grey
Like some family photo hanging
on a lemon yellow wall.
The eternal wink of a shutter
Capturing
The twinkle of your eye;
The curve of your smile;
The hair blown out of place.
Shades of grey always with us
causing us to peer into,
instead of past, our misty hearts.
Capturing
The softness of your laugh;
The feel of your lips;
The look of your legs.
Our love in shades of grey
collecting vintage
in memories sublime;
curling the edges of my mouth
Capturing
The words I treasure;
The kisses I long for;
The touches I desire.
