Learning to Swim

Maybe it's time
to stop these games.
To pay for my crimes,
to stop passing blame.

I'm looking for answers
in all the wrong places.
I'm choking on the sin
that pollutes my sea of faces.

Chorus 1:
And this ocean rages
and I still can't swim.
You can pull me out,
or you can push me back in.
This water's cold,
but it's all I know.
You can pull me out, or push me in.
Let me sink here, below.
I don't care.

There is so little time.
There is so much to say.
It's been so many years
and yet it haunts me to this day.

Each tear betrays a little,
a little of my debt.
I'm doing time for all my crimes,
and I've redefined regret.

Chorus 1 ->

(musical break)

Chorus 2:
And this ocean rages
but I've LEARNED TO SWIM!
You can pull me out,
or you can push me back in!
This water's cold,
but it's all I know!
You can pull me out, or push me in.
Let me sink here, below!
I don't care!
I don't care!
