Cognizance

 In the light of things

And when I look into your eyes

Although your beauty radiant

Inferior to my facade,

That sparkling gaze

Not looking through me

As others before have,

We hold attention

For one glorious moment

In the moment of two lives

Before a multitude of glorious moments exist;

Feeling with the heart

(Which I do now and that is what makes this write possible)

Were the same me and you,

Not in the way of friends

But friends of life, people of love

Ready for the hard hits

Only softening up to healing affection.

My soul seem enlightened
