- - - SENTENCED TO BURN - - -
She walks among the faceless sheep
Turned vile and cannibalistic
Chewing the flesh of their brother
One million views, voyeuristic
No where to turn
She ran to the comfort
Of shadows
Sentenced to burn
Entering the embrace
Of tombstones
Sun holds no warmth in light of day
Filtered by soot, black, malicious
The morning star pushed from her sight
Held back by the kine, sadistic
She fights through mobs
With flaming torches
Choking through her sobs
Cruel with their crosses
But she stands firm
A rock against the storm
Against a faith of drama
Wrapped up in her armor
Rising her sword against the swarm
God-damned by the tongues of grey men
Forbidden flesh, hedonistic
Sitting high on ivory thrones
Empty but still narcissistic
No where to turn
She ran to the comfort
Of shadows
Sentenced to burn
Entering the embrace
Of tombstones
Beaten and bloody, she doth find
The strength renewed, surrealistic
And her heart clenched with cold pity
And lashed about, ritualistic
The blood did flow
In rivers on cobbled streets
A lone lioness
Chewed eagerly on the meat
She fights through mobs
With flaming torches
Choking through her sobs
Cruel with their crosses
But she stands firm
A rock against the storm
Against a faith of drama
Wrapped up in her armor
Rising her sword against the swarm
No where to turn
She ran to the comfort
Of shadows
Sentenced to burn
Entering the embrace
Of tombstones
