Sea Flower
Calming the waters,
Stilling the tide,
Under the waves
Your roots do hide.
A rare sighting whenever seen,
Sea flower go floating away
From a garden green.
Your petals be the sail
Catching the wind
To venture along the seven seas,
Then you fail to hold it all in,
Losing your petals
When the oceans freeze.
Blossoming in the waters
Warmed by the tropical sun,
And when it sets
You sail on.
I've seen you sea flower,
On the highest waves you ride
Surrendering on the shore at my feet,
Then taken back out by the tide.
Only the sea flower knows
The ocean's truths,
I was wrong to try....
And tame it's wild roots.
Stilling the tide,
Under the waves
Your roots do hide.
A rare sighting whenever seen,
Sea flower go floating away
From a garden green.
Your petals be the sail
Catching the wind
To venture along the seven seas,
Then you fail to hold it all in,
Losing your petals
When the oceans freeze.
Blossoming in the waters
Warmed by the tropical sun,
And when it sets
You sail on.
I've seen you sea flower,
On the highest waves you ride
Surrendering on the shore at my feet,
Then taken back out by the tide.
Only the sea flower knows
The ocean's truths,
I was wrong to try....
And tame it's wild roots.
