Deceit
Droplets of paint dripped from her fingernails staining her with the color of greed.
Green was her envy pouring in swarms of leaves from her mind.
Black as the cinders left in a fire pit was her soul, clouds of embers flashing anger at his unforgiving deceit.
Rose petals red as the blood running from her veins were scattered about, the remainder of her heart shattered across her wounds.
She watched green with envy as he took another women in his arms,
Anger clouding her judgment, furious with greed.
He belonged to her she had the rings and the vows to seal it,
But he deceived her,
Giving what was rightfully hers to another,
He might as well have handed the woman the shattered remnants of her heart in a jar to make it official.
Her soul became lost in a haze,
In a fog, lost in his lovers eyes.
Leaves fall to the floor around her feet in puddles,
As she slowly dies inside.
