Sometimes
Sometimes you have to love people from a distance
Sometimes they're not right for you
And letting them go is the right thing to do.
A life without you isnt much of a life to me
But i have to let go, let you be
i wish we could be friends, ones who stay in touch
But thats not possible, cause I love you too much
Your voice a reminder of my heart's song
Your touch reminiscent of hands i long
to touch me
ease my fears
Lips i need on me and have for years
And when i see your face hear your name
All inside me suffers in pain
People say time heals all wounds
But not in my case, ive loved you many moons
And decades over, the way youd kiss on my neck or caress my shoulder
Sometimes you have to love people from a distance
Change the song, make a new start
Think of the future, not your broken heart
The wind against your skin instead of their hands the sound of the ocean, waves rolling past
Let the distance make you strong
to live with pain, you know will never be gone.
Sometimes they're not right for you
And letting them go is the right thing to do.
A life without you isnt much of a life to me
But i have to let go, let you be
i wish we could be friends, ones who stay in touch
But thats not possible, cause I love you too much
