Exploration Of Her Depths

I see to sea
What steady feet have
No purpose on the shore,
Ocean breathes in tide
Exhales waves
Galore, galore.

Torn between your beauty
Glows of sun and moon
Sunrise or sunset,
Real sailors would not agree
The ugliness head
I've not yet
Seen.

Accusations storm
Cursed in salty spit,
Shapes the biggest watery mouth
To swallow up a ship,
I plead you for gills
And not a grave
So my last image is sought from within
No shallow surface of shame.

I know you
Deep, vast, and plenty,
Taking up much of the earth
More, more
Over the centuries,
At last moments of most vulnerable
You show me your rare
Depths of Atlantis
Incredible sights no one could ever sell
To be alive with such a secret
One would never tell.

With this knowledge I take final breath
Fill my lungs of the briny and be all yours,
But not before I realize being washed up
Shaky legs of so much purpose to be standing
On the shore...shore...
