lost dreams
she dreams of perfumed fields of lavender,
the salty air against her skin and lips
the feel of his lips against hers
brushing away the salt from her skin
sand through her fingers,
cascading
the smooth road
winding ahead,
smelling the heat
rising on black tarmac
windows down, music playing
his voice singing in her ear
sweet smell of pines
drifting on the wind
sand through her fingers,
cascading
driving onto somewhere
with no destination in mind
they'll just stop when they get there
sand through her fingers,
cascading
she looks into his beautiful blue eyes
and wonders how he knows
when they'll arrive
sand through her fingers,
cascading
he smiles and tells her
it is not the place that matters
he takes her hand and kisses her fingers,
"where ever you are, that is home."
his ashes through her fingers,
cascading
the salty air against her skin and lips
the feel of his lips against hers
brushing away the salt from her skin
sand through her fingers,
cascading
the smooth road
winding ahead,
smelling the heat
rising on black tarmac
windows down, music playing
his voice singing in her ear
sweet smell of pines
drifting on the wind
sand through her fingers,
cascading
driving onto somewhere
with no destination in mind
they'll just stop when they get there
sand through her fingers,
cascading
she looks into his beautiful blue eyes
and wonders how he knows
when they'll arrive
sand through her fingers,
cascading
he smiles and tells her
it is not the place that matters

"where ever you are, that is home."
his ashes through her fingers,
cascading
