Fear of nothing
I fear of nothing
and that’s my greatest fear.
What if one day
there will be nothing at all
wake up in the morning
without nothing to do
the world full of people
idle and wasted on nothingness
looking for something
that smells life itself
unable to find
the alternative of something
that is already digest?
I fear of nothing
feelings thrown in the rubbish
words to remain unspoken
bodies that will never be touched
lips that will stop being kissed.
So scared to lose humanism
so afraid to fail
in being addicted to happiness.
I fear of nothing
and that’s my greatest fear
however
my favorite fear would be
to have nothing to fear.

The world is becoming a place full of people with nothing to do, especially as companies love being ever more efficient with their staff cuts & money saving. Ok, sometimes a company expands & employs more people but you don't hear of that very often.

Exactly... It's sad... No motivation for living. Scared of that.
Apart from the job thing, people don't have personal interests, that's more scary for me.
Thank you for reading and comment. Fingers crossed for not having to experience the emptiness.

You mean it seems on the surface of things to be all about gaming & virtual reality & stuff, rather than actual reality & the real world?

Well, this is another topic. At least the virtual world is an interest and a kind of communication and share your interests with others (eg. DUP).
It's the "stop thinking" thing that is scary I suppose. Like when I say
"unable to find
the alternative of something
that is already digest? "
Kind of accept everything like it is without looking for alternative ways to do stuff, that helps to open the mind and go further.
Also, scared of losing the desire of simple things, like a kiss or to hold somebody or to speak out our ideas, because of stress and tiredness maybe...
"I fear of nothing
feelings thrown in the rubbish
words to remain unspoken
bodies that will never be touched
lips that will stop being kissed."
I just use verses from the poem, in order to have a base in the conversation :)

I can relate to the 'stop thinking' bit, especially when it comes to attempting to disagree with those that hold some sort of power. Take Donald Trump for example, I think a lot of people are scared to disagree with him 'cos has this way of putting his hand out to silence you, without even making eye contact, hehe. ;-)

Yes, true! Lol!
Let's hope we'll not become robots and we will be able to keep our soul going on and on... :)))

And you touched me.
Touched me with your voice's view.
Somewhere inside, that fear .
That fear is a consuming fume.
I gasped while cuddled in my corner of reading this.

Oh... sweet comment.. Glad you liked it and that I touched you.
Thank you for your great comment! Love it! :)
I now realised that I put the wrong title on this poem.. it should be "Fear of nothing"
but happy that this title inspired you :)))
Honored for reading list entry.

Hehe, I thought about that, but wouldn't that just mean that I have nothing to fear?
English is not my mother tongue, but I wanted to play with two meanings with this title:
1. I have nothing to fear
2. what I fear is "nothing" (like nothingness)
I think that the title "Fear of nothing" includes both of them, isn't it? I wanted the double meaning of it :))

'I Fear Nothing' does put you in the spotlight a little & commits you to the statement, this is true.
As you fear nothing itself, that is indeed something. ;-)

Ha! Clever reply! Nothing converted in something... Love it!
Thinking that something is almost nothing, mind trap here. ;)
Thank you :))

Glad you are thinking the same way and that you liked it.
No fear!

A thought came to mind. What if mothers never kissed their babies. And then I thought of all the children not being kissed by their parent(s) or any person ever. What a horror film that is.

Yes, this thought is not so far away from the future reality. Let's hope that kisses will not disappear! :)
