Dog of the night
The dog of the night
dark as black in the light
bit you to pieces
when you broke up her fight.
One finger and both hands
when they don't work
you'll be left as
useless to what you use to know,
searching,
a new way to go.
She wouldn't hear you
yelling her name
again and again.
Down,
she bit harder.
It burns now
teeth farther,
into your skin
like you taught her.
You need to take her away.
A few screws from her escaped.
The risk of her biting again
on the rise if she thinks she can win-
is a chance I think you will take.
She goes or I cannot stay.
