look at my hands
Look at my hands
A child's hands shouldn't look like this
They shouldn't be so worn this world of mine shouldn't be so torn
Look at this place
Bombed out run down its a disgrace
Drink the water gulp it down never mind it's awfully brown
Look at my hands
They should be building castles in the sand
They shouldn't be so rough
Children doing the work of two men amongst other stuff
A world free from emancipation and chained to starvation
Look at my hands
In this world I know where my life stands
Just look at my hands
A child's hands shouldn't look like this
They shouldn't be so worn this world of mine shouldn't be so torn
Look at this place
Bombed out run down its a disgrace
Drink the water gulp it down never mind it's awfully brown
Look at my hands
They should be building castles in the sand
They shouldn't be so rough
Children doing the work of two men amongst other stuff
A world free from emancipation and chained to starvation
Look at my hands
In this world I know where my life stands
Just look at my hands
