Abandoned child never smiled
Abandoned child never smiled she just continued and pushed
It took a while for me to notice her nappy bush
Tattered clothes with shoes that look like they could fall apart on her next step
I haven't seen her on the news so why is her story being held quiet as kept?
Nobody sees this as strange that she walking the streets at the latest of nights?
She has to be only 10 and some change so this is no kind of a child’s life.
Abandoned child never smiled she just continued and pushed
Down that center Isle as the cars passed by with a swoosh
A basket of what would seem to be trash along with some toys
At a pace that says "I'm going nowhere fast" and my life is a void
Still nobody notices the tears on her cheeks or the limp in her walk
Little girl wont speak she feels no need to talk
Abandoned Child never Smiled she just continued and pushed
I've been watching her for a while trying to keep my emotions mushed
My heart opens and tells me she needs me and I'm here because of God's will
I have a inner demon that says "It's none of your business so just go home n chill"
Yet isn’t anyone else seeing her and hearing her silent screams for help?
Baby girl lives in a world where people won't do anything else other than thinking of themself
Abandoned child never smiled she just collapsed in the street
I grabbed my phone and dialed 911 as she laid at my feet
Operator I need an ambulance fast for a child who fell in the road
No I don’t know her but she seems to be only 10 or 11 years old
She's bleeding and bruised with burns on her legs and arms
I cried Dam little one why were u not on the news and where were the alarms?
Abandoned child never smiled she was sold by her parents for drugs
How could they be so cold to rent out their child so they could fill their bodies with heroin plugs?
Raped and abused by a pedophile dealer who told her if she told her little brother would be next
Sent home walking after being used along with memories of unwanted sex
Her childhood is stolen and that u can never give her back
She was stripped of what should have been golden for 50 dollar’s worth of smack!
Abandoned child never smiled her parents died from a bad trip from the deal
She's been filed into the system as a ward of the state with no one to appeal
Broken heart, broken trust and broken skin and one shall heal faster than the others
The skin will heal with minimal scars to mend but the other two might never be able to be given to friends or lovers
God bless the children of the lost ones who have forsaken their roles
I know within your building you have placed protection on their souls.
