Sun Love
You’re my mother like the earth
I came from you gave me birth
You raised me but you’re my sun
Cause in the darkness of the night
I try and recite the light you left behind
I try and reflect what remains from the moon
return the favor for my kids like noon
repeat the cycles of time from June to May
Chasing a better night we pray
Wake up to a motherly day.
I love you mom.
