You'll be Safe
And when the storm roars
And the sky weeps tears of blood
Leashed to the night.
Perhaps my callused heart
An unbroken shell,
Barren and abysmal
Will watch over you.
And when you fall
A little too deep.
Where the depths they fear
A little too much to reach.
Perhaps then I'll pull you
Back on your feet.
And when your demons return
With a vengeance
To quench their thirst,
Perhaps then I'll unchain,
Unmask and awake
The black beast
From its slumber.
And you'll be safe
Once again
From the vicious claws
Of your bane.
Within the walls
Of my tower
Set in stone,
Where I devour
All those who wish
To bring you pain.
And the sky weeps tears of blood
Leashed to the night.
Perhaps my callused heart
An unbroken shell,
Barren and abysmal
Will watch over you.
And when you fall
A little too deep.
Where the depths they fear
A little too much to reach.
Perhaps then I'll pull you
Back on your feet.
And when your demons return
With a vengeance
To quench their thirst,
Perhaps then I'll unchain,
Unmask and awake
The black beast
From its slumber.
And you'll be safe
Once again
From the vicious claws
Of your bane.
Within the walls
Of my tower
Set in stone,
Where I devour
All those who wish
To bring you pain.
