Future Perfect
She watches from the corner by the grate,
While we get intimate and I propose
A thought so tempting, you won’t hesitate
Despite that presence; and your evening clothes
Soon pool around your feet; then I exert
A pressure on your shoulders; and you find
Yourself pressed down, and quite ready to skirt
The boundaries, that I have long combined
With sweet uncertainty, that surely draws
You to improper codes, now you’re undressed
And all the etiquette, you had thought sourced
My wicked machinations, can now rest
Forgotten in the corner - so inspect
Your present presence for future perfect.
