during the summer heat

Drinking a beer
Corona and lime
Ritual for my downtime

Playing my ps4
Blood thirsty kills
I have mad skills

Listening to music
In the bed of a truck
where I become moonstruck

Swimming in the lake
water cool on my skin
I morph into a dolphin

Drinking coffee
sugar and cream
blowing hot steam

but nothing tops...

Waking up to my girls
little fingers and little toes
my little hope and little rose

My cherubs
curly hair wild
Bed head styled

I LOVE being a mommy
even when they drive me nuts
and wanting to whoop butts

Its the simple things
the small things
that eventually become big things
