Eyes of yesterdays
In memory lost
I find a whisper
So sweet like a cherry
I feel the warmth of another
But nothing is lasting
When beauty mimics
The call of the soul
And the yearning of a heart
A romance beckons so
But the pull is too great
Closer and closer the spiral turns
Until all are cornered in the struggle
A fight for freedom
A battle to end all pain
Oh so weary are the eyes of yesterdays
But it is tomorrow that shines
Lighting the dark crevices of the mind
Today is the day
That matters most
So don't let it fade
Or drift away
In life there are no
Second chances
Don't hesitate
Unless it's you
Who wants to wait
I find a whisper
So sweet like a cherry
I feel the warmth of another
But nothing is lasting
When beauty mimics
The call of the soul
And the yearning of a heart
A romance beckons so
But the pull is too great
Closer and closer the spiral turns
Until all are cornered in the struggle
A fight for freedom
A battle to end all pain
Oh so weary are the eyes of yesterdays
But it is tomorrow that shines
Lighting the dark crevices of the mind
Today is the day
That matters most
So don't let it fade
Or drift away
In life there are no
Second chances
Don't hesitate
Unless it's you
Who wants to wait
