At war with myself

The cold war ignited a spar of words,
My impulsive Calvary versus my regiment of forethought.
This constant back and forth in my frontal lobe
Led to an impasse during peace talks with my inner being.
Captured are my cognitive grey cells, my sense of reason;
Sparking a war, catastrophe galore...
The uprising rebels begin the onslaught by day,
A deceitful masquerade, in various shades of grey;
Intending to buyout my free will,
A penny for my thoughts, if you may.
Behold...
A clandestine warfare, between I and me.
Where the aspect of logic brought about this disparity,
And both sides of the coin yearn for severe fatality...
This is the genesis of my vacillation
Or better yet, the suicide-homicide me...
