Cellular Communication

Our conversations
consist of concepts
Too complex
To be confined within the context
Of normal media

We communicate along encrypted lines
That cannot be confined
Or bound
In the realm of sound

It's an instant message
But the information is too vast
To be displayed on a 4.3 inch screen
In fact, it can't even be seen at all

See, this is what you call 'cellular communication'
But there's no device needed
It's already been seeded
Deep beneath the skin
We don't really talk, we blend
As thoughts transcend
Through lips and nose and
fingers and toes and...
Frozen in an ancient conversation
Generational gaps do not exist
Because we reminisce
Through centuries at a time
It's kinda like a mind meld
But Mr. Spock couldn't rock
What we've got
Cuz this is that exclusive plan
And outsiders don't seem to understand
They can't believe or conceive
And they think it's absurd
That we talk for hours through eye phones
Without saying a word
And no matter how hard I try
They don't seem to get it
The language
between me and my daughter is acidic
As in deoxyribonucleic
See, we don't need a fucking cell phone
Cuz our chromosomes say it.
