Commit

Just sitting around watching tv and I'm seeing all of these dating shows (married at first sight, black love, naked and dating and etc) and it makes me wonder if anyone takes falling in love serious these days. Courting someone is frowned upon, being committed is a joke and being venerable seems to be a sin . Everyone is getting married for show. Divorce is on the rise.  Women are becoming men and men are becoming women. Hurt people are hurting people. Babies are having babies .Single people confuse contentment with loneliness and people in relationships confuse flirting with going over boundaries. The worst part of it all is that we as a society think it's acceptable. We think it's ok to sleep around "because it makes us happy?" When in reality it makes us numb. Numb to pain, numb to genuine happy, so numb that we miss out on good things because we assume that the water is better in someone else's pond.
