a warning
I want to tell you a tale,
It isn’t 100% true and it
isn’t 100% false, it is about
a man that gave his heart
to someone that he thought
would understand him, and
his insecurities, and above all
she wouldn’t prey upon them
in some sick and twisted way
to boost herself image., and how
did she do this? Well she played
him against himself, by acting soft
and innocent, someone in need of
protection and love, the kind he was
willing to give her almost at once.
that was how it began, first things were
good and things went smoothly, so smoothly
in fact he fell in love with her, and she to pro-
claimed her love for him, further getting him
to let his guard down. Now this man fancied
himself a decent writer and had nothing better
to do with his time then to write little cute poems
and stories that she professed to like very much,
boosting his ego even higher and higher with every
word she spoke to him. She even started to write
and in the beginning she acted shy and timid about
it, uneasy in fact, so he encouraged her always without
condition even wanting to write with her on any subject
she chose, but every time he was rebuked one reason or
another was given all valid and understandable, no reason
for suspicion, and one day she had a friend that wanted to
write a story and she asked him to write with her friend, and
even though he had no desire to do so, and said no several
times he did cave in to her requests. So the story began for
everyone to read and things went well for a short time, then
this man found that the woman he loved had started writing
with another writer, and sharing feelings and emotions that
she had said she couldn’t with the man she “loved”, and needless
to say he was crushed, and sadly this betrayal has silenced his
desire to write, “will it come back?” I have asked him several times
and all I ever get in response is “for what?”. I tell you this story as
a warning, and that warning is to write for yourselves not for anyone
else.
