Crazy Times

Of all the people
to stand in the middle
of a student bar
have his name called out
pick up a microphone
and murder 'light my fire.'

It seems more likely
for me to have been
the one to jump
from the multi-storey
two days ago
and survive
sans limbs

My arm wasn't torn off
by a concrete pillar
on the way down...
I did however
partake in a crime
caught on camera.
Ah well, no time to wallow
in the mire.
