And, lo, I pondered many a night
What peace God could have given
To ease the burden upon my soul
The tears could have been hindered
And the grief assuaged
For one who sought ascension
But I am burdened no more
Listened to those waggling rumors
And hear the words
"He, now, speaketh with the devil's tongue."
