Last Resort

(Pointless feelings from some time ago. Written as a result of a particular moment of life struggles endured by another. The subject will never know as there is nothing to gain. Posting to let it go, hopefully it's at least enjoyed by someone)

You knew I would have stayed
And that's why you left
The decision you made
Hopefully for the best
Not going to say anything
I won't even object
Just please remember
Don't let yourself forget
That you are better than temptation
And any destruction awaiting
I believe in your strength
Even though you feel it fading
And I can see you breaking
I hope that voice in your head comes through
It has the power of resonating
Something I don't have with you
I'd try to make it okay
If I possessed the skill
So just focus on all of those
People who maybe can and will
The rest that are on your side
Knowing that you can do this

Ready to give support
But only when it's welcomed
Needed or wanted in remote
Do what you've got to do

Though conveyances are honest and true
I know it has little meaning to you
Sincere flow never got me anywhere
Except further away from where you stand
And I can accept the distance
Because what choice do I have?
But still I must let you know
A place safe where you can go

When you've went through your contacts
And checked all your books
When self reflection gets exhaustive
And you don't know where to look
If you're done with the distraction
And all you're looking for is support
Then don't be afraid to reach out
Because I will be your last resort

Silently lurking
Here whenever you're hurting
For whatever it's worth
When all your methods just aren't working
Cuz when you don't know how to cope
I'll be that piece of missing hope
The last resort to find
When you're going out of your mind
