Morphine
Situation normal
All fucked up once again
There is no escaping Murphy’s Law
What can go wrong will my friend
When I think it’s over
That’s when it will begin
Sometimes I wonder
When will my misery end
I can’t resist my destiny
No matter how I beg or plead
I will embrace reality
Until it brings me to my knees
Say my name...
Enhance my self-esteem
I’ve been so ashamed
Because I’m constantly afraid
Say my name...
Give me my medication
Cause I can’t feel a thing
Whenever I’m on morphine
Enter the twilight zone
Exit a world of pain
I know that flesh and bone
Will bleed, bruise, scar and break
Enter the twilight zone
Enter a state of grace
Drift into the unknown
Then slowly fade away
Wake up mister, can you hear us?
Wake up mister, can you hear us?
Wake up mister
You’ve been catatonic
It’s time to face your plight
I know you’re paralyzed
But at least you’re still alive
I can’t fucking believe it
No...
I am a paraplegic
Don’t...
Tell me that I can’t stay stoned
Why won’t the world leave me alone
Say my name...
Enhance my self-esteem
I’ve been so ashamed
Because I’m constantly afraid
Say my name...
Give me my medication
Cause I can’t feel a thing
Whenever I’m on morphine
Enter the twilight zone
Exit a world of pain
I know that flesh and bone
Will bleed, bruise, scar and break
Enter the twilight zone
Enter a state of grace
Drift into the unknown
Then slowly fade away
