White goods

A sea of cookers rippling to the walls
glazed, silver, black and shiny.
A's and B's and sometimes Cs
all at three feet high;
made to fit wherever.
Close your eyes, choose any one
you'll not be disappointed,
one shape fits all
one height, two widths, one depth
prices to suit your pocket;
deferred or plastic, now or never
they'll come next week
and throw away the old one..
