If Only They Could
You take me from behind.
Wave after wave anoints me,
Till the strength of our legs flag,
The warmth of you overflows.
My greed of wanting you.
Hours of endless passion,
Joined as one until
Exhaustion separates us.
I feel you long after
The physical turns phantom,
The itch of a missing limb,
Where it leaves off, and begins;
Your fingers push ghosts away,
The intent stays earthbound.
I drift cozy in a dream,
My body on its own
From your soft motions,
Your after-thought of touch & taste.
Wrapped in layers of my bed,
Swaddled in clouds of linen
Where angels would make love
If only they could.
