Paradise
They say joy is found in a magical place
Called the land of the free and the home of the brave
But i live in this country so does that make me a slave
Bound to sorrows with no proof of tomorrow
With a rigid lifestyle strangers call paradise
But this place is full of nothing but parasites
Zombies with no life
Robots with controlled minds
With pre-empted words to recite
They are smart here, they clip your wings
So you cannot take flight
Steal your courage so you no longer can fight
This place that everyone thinks is serene
Is the grave yard for all of our dreams
A desolate place of emptiness
With all the talent in the world but no ways to invest
Its rich with danger and poor on encouragement
But who can you blame
We voted for this government
Breaking the covenant for us to be free
This place i call home is no longer the place for me
Called the land of the free and the home of the brave
But i live in this country so does that make me a slave
Bound to sorrows with no proof of tomorrow
With a rigid lifestyle strangers call paradise
But this place is full of nothing but parasites
Zombies with no life
Robots with controlled minds
With pre-empted words to recite
They are smart here, they clip your wings
So you cannot take flight
Steal your courage so you no longer can fight
This place that everyone thinks is serene
Is the grave yard for all of our dreams
A desolate place of emptiness
With all the talent in the world but no ways to invest
Its rich with danger and poor on encouragement
But who can you blame
We voted for this government
Breaking the covenant for us to be free
This place i call home is no longer the place for me
