Envy and Emulate

You,
in your high horse
and your shinny saddle
pirouetting around the garden
Dressed up in lace and silk
Your mouth holding a silver spoon in

You,
For caring less of things affecting you
Giving dispassionate advice
and faking compassionate concern
reeling down the fancy streets, almost drunk

You,
Chasing the golden goose
That is being hatched in your backyard
Flying in colour, radiance and youth
I am still young, but I envy you

I envy that you have it all
that you still take it for granted
I envy that you're happy
An that you also earn money

Your smiles, your styles
May seem fake to most eyes
But I know for a fact
That I envy the knowing it is not true

That you are genuine as I construe
And I realise that not everyone is the same
egalitarianism is the bull-shit we have foolishly contained
And that we can never be same

I see you every day
And I always here myself say
I wish I was more like you
