Her Darkness Unfolds
She is standing in the corner - waiting
She disappears when I look her way
She is watching everything I do
Willing and able to do as I ask, to do what I say
I tell her to come forward, onto the bed
She slowly moves like a shadow drifting across turbulent water
I sit patiently watching her take her time
She could be anyone, a mother, a sister, or a daughter
She sits on the bed, across from me
Her black hair flowing in an unseen, and unfelt breeze
I ask her to show herself and to reveal herself
Slowly, she unfolds her darkness in front of me
She disappears when I look her way
She is watching everything I do
Willing and able to do as I ask, to do what I say
I tell her to come forward, onto the bed
She slowly moves like a shadow drifting across turbulent water
I sit patiently watching her take her time
She could be anyone, a mother, a sister, or a daughter
She sits on the bed, across from me
Her black hair flowing in an unseen, and unfelt breeze
I ask her to show herself and to reveal herself
Slowly, she unfolds her darkness in front of me
